Job Summary
Donegal Insurance Group has an opening for an Office Claim Representative to join our Property Unit. This position would be ideally located in our Marietta, Pennsylvania office where we offer a flexible hybrid work environment. We would also consider our office locations in Athens, GA, Glen Allen, VA, or Albuquerque, NM. We are open to remote work candidates based on experience.
Located in Marietta, Pennsylvania along the Susquehanna River in beautiful Lancaster County, our claims operations offer a great career and development opportunity, an engaging team dynamic and office environment. Position in Marietta and our other office locations have the best in claims technology and automation, as well as the opportunity for workplace flexibility.
The Claim Representative will have a minimum of 1 to 5 years of experience in the insurance industry. This opportunity provides a broad depth of experience as the candidate will be handling a variety of property claims. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling claims. Knowledge of Claim Handling System (Guidewire ClaimCenter a plus) and Property estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties
Interact with our customers through phone, text, and email to gather and investigate claim facts, collecting data and documentation on all assigned claims.
Evaluate coverage and estimate damage for our customer in order to settle claims fairly and in a timely manner.
Manage the claim file and any involvement by vendors, experts, and Independent Adjusters.
Work with Personal and Commercial Underwriting to identify any risk related issues.
Maintain good relationships with agents, policyholders, and all company personnel.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree with a background in insurance or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1-5 years of experience handling personal and commercial property claims
- Experience using Estimating Software – Symbility preferred
The base pay is just one component of Donegal's total compensation package for employees. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
