DUTIES:
Design overall data storage, data files, and reporting structures for our internal customer business, consistent
with regulatory and product performance requirements. Complete the ETL (“extract, transform, load”) process by loading business data into the data warehousing environment, testing it for performance, and troubleshooting it before it goes into production. Prioritize and coordinate work in various stages across a pool of ETL developers. Responsible for all phases of solution delivery from initial requirements analysis, solution estimation, coordination of development, testing and delivery, to production. Translate requirements from the mapping specifications into technical code. Create, implement, maintain, and extend
common reusable data integration components. Monitor and promote data integration best practices across all work- streams. Ensure all data integration processes are documented and recoverable as it pertains to disaster recovery. Provide technical mentoring to peers, collaborate and be approachable to the team. Provide documented project and task updates to all concerned parties in a timely manner.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related industry field, plus 4 years of experience using Informatica ETL Software to design, load, and query dimensional and relational data models in data warehouse environments. Experience must include the following: 3 years of experience using PL/SQL for ETL relating to data warehousing and integration; reading and creating entity relationship (ER) diagrams and illustrating process flows; and using Oracle for database modeling. And 2 years of experience working with Guidewire Policy Center or DataHub; and working in either the Personal or Commercial line of the insurance industry.
